Window Washing Tips
Washing windows may not be your favorite household chore, but it is one of the most important. Keeping your windows clean can make your entire house look well maintained and allow you to fully enjoy your view.
The outside of your windows should be washed at least twice a year. Most people dread washing their windows because they use a store bought spray cleaner and tons of wadded up paper towels, which makes the job much more difficult.
Trying to rub your windows clean does more harm than good. It simply moves the dirt around the window while creating a static charge on the glass which will attract even more dirt and dust.
The most effective way to get your windows looking like new is to use a squeegee and a homemade window cleaner. Mixing together water, white vinegar, and a little rubbing alcohol will get your windows as clean as possible. You can also add a couple drops of lemon juice if you are bothered by the smell.
